Cody Frampton - Post HR Smile

My son Cody shares a moment with Jerry Slaugh one of the assistant coaches for Cody’s 9u RMSB team after he took his first pitch of the Lehi Tiger’s 2009 RMSB Super League season way over the fence at Burgess Park in Alpine.

During the last three months (Jan – Mar) Cody has been working out at Ultimate Sports Lindon (USL), incorporating the lessons that have been taught to him by the owner of USL, Cade Schaerrer. Cade and I estimated that at one point during a four week stretch Cody averaged 300 – 400 swings a night for three or four nights a week.

When I was talking with him about the HR later in the day Cody was fully aware of the pay off for all the hours spent at USL working on his swing when he said to me “hard work pays off huh dad.” Not bad considering that last summer & fall he was typically batting in the bottom part of the line-up and yesterday he hit clean-up.

Just want to publicly say “Thanks Cade.”

Cade,

I just wanted tell you how much we enjoy coming to Ultimate Sports. When we first brought our son there, he was struggling with his confidence. In just one session, he felt like he was back on top again.

You have always made us feel like we are the only people there when we come, and have always taken the time to make us feel at home.  Our son has learned so much from you and improved his pitching and batting skills with your coaching. He can’t wait to come every day and practice, so he can be the best in the league! You have really given him back his confidence and the drive to be the best.

We wish you continued success and are very grateful for all your efforts with our son!

Much thanks!

The core strength training class at Ultimate has given my two boys a great introduction to the world of fitness training. They have had a blast watching themselves get stronger and become more aware of their growing bodies. The instruction is fast moving and classes are small so attention can be given to each boy, individually. Moreover, they have become familiar with equipment and exercises they can use at home!

The results of the twelve-week course have presented themselves as my pre-teen son, who is very big for his age, who came into the course very self-conscious because he could not do a push-up, even though he looked very strong, found himself with newfound confidence. He is learning how to use and move his own body and his strength is now increasing and he is far less fearful of being teased for a perceived lack of ability. Both my boys have shown an increase in strength and coordination as well as an increased desire to become stronger and more fit. It really is a great program.

This is to inform everyone who ever doubts extra practice in batting machines and coaching from Cade. I have two sons whom were both really good athletes, but were struggling at batting. They were mainly striking out or pop-ups. One is 14 years old and the other is 11 years old.

The 11 year old has shown remarkable improvement. He very seldom strikes out and is hitting really well. I tell you this because it is the way Cade has changed his stance and swing. He also has put confidence in my son, which is very important in my opinion. He has really worked hard and gave him outside swinging practice to do at home. This has improved him greatly.

The 14 year old has only been receiving practice with Cade for only about 2 months. He is on an accelerated team. His coach was wanting to know what we had done, because he was mainly always striking out every time at bat. But now he is hitting the ball and getting on base. I told them it is because of Cade showing him a new stance and how to improve his swing. He also challenged him to do 1000 swings, with the new stance and swing, outside of practice. He also has him hitting off of a tee.

I really testify to all of you, any age, that you could improve your batting average with the techniques that Cade teaches. He can break bad habits that are affecting your hitting. The techniques are very useful and helpful. If you don’t believe me, just ask my boys Trevor and Logan Kinross how much they have improved just in the short amount of time they have been taking these instructions.

They went from hitting 10th in batting to no hit 3rd or 5th. I think that this is because of the instruction they have been given.
